How to teach writing

Writing:
Writing is a process of discovery as well as a process of productivity. In contrast to oral-aural skills, writing can provide students with a chance to work at their own pace, especially if it is done at home or without any limited time assigned by teachers and allows them to think the task over before producing language.
Writing is less stressful since it releases students from the pressure of being anxious when they are called upon to speak facing others; the matter which effectively blocks their ability.
Writing can offer a permanent record; students can look back on what they have achieved in order to refresh their minds, to refine, gradually their linguistic competencies.

Writing is helpful for teachers in many ways:
1.To reinforce what students have learnt; either vocabulary, structures or idioms.
2.To go beyond what students have just learnt.
3.To involve students in the new language.

How to teach speaking

Teaching Speaking

Many language learners regard speaking ability as the measure of knowing a language. These learners define fluency as the ability to converse with others, much more than the ability to read, write, or comprehend oral language. They regard speaking as the most important skill they can acquire, and they assess their progress in terms of their accomplishments in spoken communication.
Language learners need to recognize that speaking involves three areas of knowledge:
  • Mechanics (pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary): Using the right words in the right order with the correct pronunciation
  • Functions (transaction and interaction): Knowing when clarity of message is essential (transaction/information exchange) and when precise understanding is not required (interaction/relationship building)
  • Social and cultural rules and norms (turn-taking, rate of speech, length of pauses between speakers, relative roles of participants): Understanding how to take into account who is speaking to whom, in what circumstances, about what, and for what reason.

How to be good teacher

Good teacher:

Teachers who are consistently successful with students are not given leadership roles that would allow them to reach students beyond their own classrooms.
A great teacher can have a huge effect on a child's life. So, unfortunately, can a bad teacher. But in education, job performance has virtually nothing to do with opportunities for advancement. Teachers who are consistently successful with students are not given leadership roles that would allow them to reach students beyond their own classrooms, and if they don't have enough seniority, they can be let go without anyone seeming to care come layoff time.

Internet:

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (often called TCP/IP, although not all applications use TCP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support email.
